That’s a wrap from the Townsville-double, with today concluding two rounds in North Queensland.

Chaz Mostert has claimed his sixth podium of 2021, finishing third in Race 17 in Townsville. It was a dramatic turn-around in form since last weekend, and a reward for the hard work that has happened in between events.

We’re back in action for week 2 of the North Queensland double, this time, for three sprint races at the Townsville SuperSprint.

Sunday started with qualifying, which put Chaz in 12th and Bryce in 13th. Improvements were made overnight, but both cars just needed an extra tenth of a second, which would have put them inside the top seven cars.

It was a difficult day in Townsville for the team, in the first of two 250km races for the weekend.

That’s a wrap for the Top End, as a pair of fourth place finishes gave Chaz Mostert the most points of any driver for the round, while Bryce Fullwood and Kurt Kostecki both moved forward in each race.
