James Courtney’s car #22 will have a new head turning look at the WD-40 Phillip Island 500 and beyond, with Boost Mobile becoming the major partner on the car for the rest of the year.

We’re back in our home state for round 3 of the championship, as we get ready to cross the bridge and park up at Phillip Island for the weekend.

After what can only be described as a disastrous Saturday, where both cars were heavily damaged, the positive out of today was that we finished the way we started, with a straight car.

The Mobil 1 HSV Racing car #22 of James Courtney has been ruled out of the remainder of the Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint after irreparable damage was sustained in race 3 of the championship.

After the only non-championship round of the year at the Australian Grand Prix, the circus has hopped on the boat, headed for Symmons Plains Raceway in Launceston.

Two events down, 13 to go. The circus is just about to roll on to Tassie next week, but before we do, let’s take a breather and reflect on what we’ve learnt so far.

Sunday at the Australian Grand Prix always has a special feel to it, there is a real buzz around the place, and for the Mobil 1 HSV Racing team, they capitalised for their best results of the weekend.

Another 13 lap race was ahead of us today, which was a mixed bag of fortunes in the end.
