The Track

Ruapuna Raceway is a 3.3km long track, located in Christchurch New Zealand. It features 11 corners and is widely known for its fast, flowing layout with long sweeping corners.

Keep an eye out for overtaking opportunities into turn one, three and the final corner. With its mix of high-speed sections and technical braking zones, Ruapuna is set to deliver close and hard-fought racing.

Tyres

Similar to the Taupo Super440, we will be running both the Dunlop Soft and Dunlop SuperSoft compound tyres. For Race 10, 11 and 13 we will be on the Dunlop Soft tyre and Race 12 we will be on the Dunlop SuperSoft tyre.

Pitstops

There is a minimum for one compulsory pit stop for Friday and Saturday’s races, with a minimum of two tyres being changed. On Sunday there are two compulsory pit stops for Race 13.

Chaz Mostert

“I feel like a rookie this weekend, which is quite nice, it makes me feel young again.

“Woody has been a great tour guide over the last week and he’s going to have to continue that again this weekend but around the track this time.

“This double header in New Zealand has been so much fun, the cars have been fast and the fans are so passionate and I can’t wait to put on a show this weekend for them.”

Ryan Wood

“I’m really looking forward to racing this weekend, I did some racing over the summer break at Ruapuna with my engineer Richard, so I’m excited to head back there.

“I’ve had the ‘rookie’ badge on me for the last few years but this weekend I get to hand it over to my mate Mozzie who has never raced at Ruapuna before, it’ll be a nice change, hopefully that means he gets to make me the coffees now.

“We came into Taupo with a really strong package, we want to continue building that momentum going into Christchurch. Winning on home soil is something I will never forget, I want to keep doing it.”
